ONW Now

Overview

For this project we were challenged to create our school news show and learning the process. We first were put into different groups and had to come up with different stories to show. It was a challenge because we had less than week to film and edit. After filming and editing the videos we than went and shot our news show. We able to experience different aspects it takes into filming ONW Now.

Filming

The group I was placed in was words from the hall. Words from the hall is a news segment that involves asking trivia questions to students at ONW. Since its going to be Christmas soon we based our questions over Christmas. Once getting the questions done we went out over lunch and filmed in our Santa onesies. I was one of the people to ask the questions and it was funny hearing the different answers of the students.

Shooting

After everyones' videos were done we decided who the anchors were and assigned different positions for filming the show. There is a lot more that is involved than it seems. There are people controlling the volume, cameras, teleprompter, and different videos. We also learned that they shoot ONW Now live which is very interesting. Overall its a experience that I enjoyed learning about what it takes to film ONW Now.
