Movie Trailer Recreation

Pre-Production 

After we were assigned the groups we decided on the movie trailer we wanted to film. My group decided on Napoleon Dynamite trailer. We made our are contract first to ensure our exceptions for the project. Next we had to decided the actors, props and the days we would film. But before we start filming we had to watch the film to see the different shots, actions, and the script.

Production

While filming we shot in 3 different places: school, park, and house. We first filmed all the clips in school because it was the easiest to film because we did it durning school. Than after school we went to a house to shoot the kitchen scenes and driveways scene. The shoots are exactly the same because we couldn't find any locations that looked like the scenes. After filming at the house we went to the elematry school to shot the scene in the park. We also had some difficulties there because it was very windy. We were able to get all the shots from the trailer though.

Post-Production

After we got the shots we uploaded them into the adobe premiere. We had to drop the clips in and add different effects. Some of the effects we did were fading in and out, stabilizing, and speeding up the clips. We also had to play with the audio so the music wasn't overpowering the music. Overall the trailer we created isn't exact to the real trailer because we didn't;t have the same budget and a different time era.
